Advanced analysis of integration patterns - The case of the European Union

MONTEUS envisages six PhD courses to promote young academics’ research capacity. The seminars contains an advanced, theory-based analysis of questions relevant to political science, especially in the area of European integration. All PhD students embarking on a research project related to political science in general and European integration in particular.

The course will provide insights on the use of integration theories, methodological approaches in political science and research design. Participants need a firm knowledge of the EU political system. The course will discuss theoretical approaches to European integration by making reference to research designs of concrete PhD projects. A number of lectures by external experts will complement this work. The course is both for CGS-students and for other doctoral students of the WiSo-Faculty.
